A Payment Gateway/Virtual Terminal offers several advantages to the stand-alone unit, for Merchants who key enter or swipe their transactions.

Typically refers to a Payment Application that is integrated with a shopping cart, or checkout page, on a Merchants Internet Storefront. The Payment Gateway receives and encrypts cardholder data from the secure checkout on the Merchants website. The Payment Gateway transmits the data securely to the Authorization Network for an approval or decline response.	Typically refers to a PC Based Payment Application hosted on the provider's servers and accessible by a Merchant via a secure, remote login for transaction processing. Merchants can access their Virtual Terminal from any PC with a secure Internet Connection to process transactions and view transaction activity.

The PPS Payment Gateway is both a Virtual Terminal and Payment Gateway, all-in-one.

Merchants access our advanced online payment application and instantly have both Virtual Terminal and Payment Gateway functionality (from a single interface).

Premier's Payment Gateway and Virtual Terminal - referred to collectively as the PPS Payment Gateway - provides Merchants with both options through a single Payment Application. The Virtual Terminal can be used solely as a Virtual Terminal or can be integrated with a Merchant's online storefront. Some programs require additional activation for either the Virtual Terminal or Payment Gateway option and price each program independently. For the same low monthly cost, Merchants have many options!
